Across Phoenix is an indie rock band founded in August 2024. The band began as a duo featuring Emma Lee on guitar and vocals, Evan Michell on drums, and Molly Thornton on bass. 

As a trio, they’re eclectic and delicate and hard to pin down. They’re hiding funky glittery things for you to find between layers of storm-cloudy shoegaze sound: something like Portishead, Wolf Alice, and PJ Harvey. 

They haven’t stopped moving forward since their debut in 2025, skipping like a tiny comet between packed bars and major festivals in and out of NOLA: Saturn Bar, Gasa Gasa, Funk Fest, Algiers Bonfire Fest, Pom Pom Palooza Fest.  Their debut EP, written and produced by Lee with recording and co-production from Michell, was spotlighted in Antigravity Magazine’s October 2025 issue.
